Greece Golden Visa or Schengen Scheme is the most affordable entry into the EU.
Greece Golden Visa is the most affordable entry into the EU. With a real-estate purchase valued at a minimum of €250,000, it’s considerably cheaper than countries like Spain who require a minimum investment of €500,000 and Malta €320,000.
Of all the EU countries offering the visa, Greece’s Golden Visa Program is the most attractive option financially on the market. The Greek program also allows collective investments, provided that the applicants’ investments are no less than the €250,000 minimum investment.
The price of real estate in the centres of large Greek cities is also considerably less than neighbours like Spain, Malta and Portugal. At an average of €1,300 per square meters, it is almost twice as cheap as Spain and Malta, and 1.5 times cheaper than in Portugal.
Recent Enterprise Greece data shows 3892 Golden Visas were issued in 2018 and in just the first 3 months of 2019, an unprecedented 4,154 were granted to investors looking to buy into the scheme. The last 5 years of the program alone has resulted in €1.5 billion being invested in real estate in Greece.
